Who are we?
We are the founders and members of Aachen’s first musical association. We founded our non-profit association Floodlight Musicals at the beginning of 2016. Our shared passion for the international languages of music, dance and drama brought us together. This gave rise to the idea of uniting musical enthusiasts in a diverse community.
Since the casting of our first project, there has been great interest in Floodlight Musicals among many Aachen pupils, students, trainees and professionals – despite the fact that our association is unknown. Since then, we have been growing steadily. We now put on one or two productions every year (apart from seasons during the coronavirus pandemic).
All of this has only been possible thanks to the help of more than 170 active and former volunteer members. We are united and characterized by our shared enthusiasm for musicals, which we are also able to pass on to others. The special thing about our association is and remains the people who make it up. Each member is special in their own way, which means that together we form an open community with a unique group dynamic.
We are also particularly proud of the fact that, in addition to all the dedicated people on and behind the stage, we also have our own orchestra and band.
